As painful as all of these shutdowns are, and the more I learn of the pernicious effects of this virus, the more wise these draconian steps appear to be. This is the 9-11 of this generation.
Most of us had prophesied the next big attack would come in the form of a super computer virus, disabling massive numbers of our digital devices. I don’t remember anyone saying that a comparative handful of flu cases could cripple this nation’s economy and in days virtually turn off social gatherings of any consequence.
